Maria rescued Bama-Lou in Nov of 2014 and gave him his 2nd chance. He wasn't accustomed to eating regularly because he was aggressive toward food. A year later, I took out a bag of treats. He jumped in excitement, fell to the floor and dragged his hind legs away. Awful sight to see! Costly emergency surgery guaranteed a 50% chance of recovery. We couldn't turn our back on him. 18 months later he is a happy, well adjusted boy and has taught himself to walk again.
