Above is a picture of Dodger. He was the inspiration for our list. Dodger was possibly euthanized prematurely when he developed disc disease because his veterinarian and owners were unaware of alternative treatments that are available. Dodgerslist has started a project of distributing literature to veterinarians and owners of dachshunds everywhere to inform them of these alternative treatments.

Dodgerslist is dedicated to Dodger and all of the dogs that have been euthanized unnecessarily and to researching and finding a cure and/or prevention for disc disease.

Keri Thomas owner of Dodger writes: "I was the owner of Dodger, and was completely uninformed of the options that I had for Dodger. Of course, if I could change things I would, and my husband and I have changed a lot of things in our house and lives because of this. If this list can help just one person save a Dachsie, it's worth it. I want to thank Linda and everyone else for all the work they are doing on this project."
